Bi-Fold Doors – Durable Doors fix-it tips and tricks
Clean the tracks in which bi-fold doors operate using a damp rag. If the
dirt buildup is substantial, a toothbrush will help scrub it off. A shot of
penetrating oil will help lubricate both the track and the pins or rollers
that move along the track.
When you look at the closed doors, the gap between them should be
straight and even. If it’s not, adjust the pivot blocks (which could be
located at the top and/or bottom of the door frame). You may be able to
reposition how the door sits on the pivot, or raise or lower the door on
the pivot. Try to avoid repositioning the door so close to the door frame
that the door edge rubs on the frame every time it’s opened.
